The Isle of Wesberry Mysteries

{

It's hard to recall which came first, the magical Isle of Wesberrey or the characters of  Reverend Jess Ward, her friends and her family. They all became so quickly intertwined. The scene in book one, Holy Homicide, when Jess has her first meeting with the parish council came to me in a dream. And all the parishioners were there, fully formed. The Vicar of Dibley meets Father Brown with a touch of Charmed. It all slotted into place so easily and a series was born. The island provides a rich playground for me as a writer and the characters have become my extended family – even the ones I kill off.

I adored everything about this series: the island, the people (especially Jessamy). It was addictive and I could hardly wait for my next fix. Now I've read the final book in the series and I'm left with that sinking feeling that always accompanies the ending of a good story. More please, Penelope Cress!
